Flair in the Square
Thursday, June 8th
6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.


You don't need to be an artist to attend this event! Everyone is welcome. All skill levels!

The people of the village of Petrykivka, Ukraine decorate their living quarters, household belongings, and musical instruments with a style of ornamental painting that is characterized by fantastic flowers and other natural elements, based on careful observation of the local flora and fauna.

Enjoy our class with Artist Svitlana Rozghon, who provides instruction as well as the materials needed for you to make your own Petrykivka art. You will go home with an ornament with your own Petrykivka design!

These low cost art classes have been set-up to take place outdoors, with limited seating, so that each student can have an enjoyable experience. Participation is limited to 25 students for the two-hour session, with each student being provided all supplies needed. 

These stand-alone classes are open to adults and children alike, as long as children are capable of self-monitoring. Please pre-register (the fee for participating is $10.00, paid in advance). No experience required.

This is part of the Amesbury Chamber’s annual initiative to bring the community together in safe, responsible, and healthy ways right in our downtown. Sign-up, visit out downtown, and feel free to check out some of our businesses before or after painting!
