Women In Business: A conversation with Liz Kidder

In this, our second of four events, we will continue our Women in Business Series with Liz Kidder of Liz Kidder Studio, Amesbury, MA. This series serves as an opportunity to learn from each other and connect as a group of entrepreneurs and small, women owned businesses. Our remaining quarterly events will be in July and October. We hope you will join us for these events to help build relationships with peers that last long into your business career. Let's build our businesses together, from start to success.

Meet Liz Kidder: In 2006, Liz left New England and traveled to the beautiful islands of Hawaii. There, she completed her cosmetology education at the Paul Mitchell School in Honolulu and became a salon professional in 2008. She has excelled in many advanced education classes and has given back to the industry by sharing her expertise at schools and in salons. She has styled hair for countless photo shoots and her work has been published in Modern Salon Magazine, Beauty Launchpad, and on various websites. In 2013, she was nominated for Hair Stylist of the Year in the Boston Fashion Awards. After years working behind-the-chair at award-winning Salon Aniu, she opened Liz Kidder Studio in Amesbury, MA in 2015.

In 2018, after 4 years of being sober, Liz learned about the Appalachian Trail while hiking in sobriety and decided to attempt to traverse the trail from Georgia to Maine while raising addiction awareness as well as money for Link House Inc. She will share her story of preparing her business to remain open while on the trail, how it ran while on the trail and tell us her amazing story of hiking 14 states and 2,190 miles in 161 days.
