Join Amesbury Recreation for a Full Moon Hike as we welcome the Autumnal Equinox, and seasonal changes ahead! We will hike to Camp Kent for a fire and marshmallow roasting, then adventure back out into the meadows guided by the light of the Hunters Moon. Learn about how it got its name, and why this bright moon holds significance for farmers, hunters and nature lovers alike. You will be welcomed by the symphony of sounds coming from the wetlands, including a variety of frogs and other aquatic creatures. If you listen and look carefully, you may spot the wildlife more active at dusk including fox, raccoon, white-tailed deer, and a variety of woodland animals. Maybe our resident barred owl will even make an appearance! Individuals and families with children over the age of 5 are welcomed. We hope to see you for this unique experience and relaxing evening under the stars! Must be at least one adult in each group. *Parking at Battis Farm (76 South Hampton RD, Amesbury, MA)
